Understanding Your

Medicare Options

Medicare isn’t one-size-fits-all. We help you explore and compare the full range of Medicare coverage options available, including:

  • Medicare Supplement (Medigap) Plans
Help pay for out-of-pocket costs not covered by Original Medicare (like copays, coinsurance, and deductibles).

  • Medicare Advantage (Part C) Plans
All-in-one plans that often include extra benefits like dental, vision, hearing, and prescription drug coverage.

  • Part D Prescription Drug Plans
Standalone plans that cover the cost of medications not included with Original Medicare.

Our agents can help you understand the differences between Medicare Advantage and Medigap, check if your doctors and prescriptions are covered, and find a plan that fits your lifestyle and healthcare needs.

Medicare FAQ - What You Need to Know

  • You can enroll in Medicare during your Initial Enrollment Period, which begins three months before your 65th birthday, includes your birthday month, and continues for three months after. If you're already receiving Social Security benefits, you'll be automatically enrolled in Parts A and B.

  • It depends. If you're still working and have credible employer coverage, you may be able to delay enrolling in Part B without penalty. However, it's important to review your options with a licensed Medicare advisor to avoid gaps in coverage or future penalties.

    • Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans are all-in-one plans that often include prescription drugs, dental, vision, and hearing. They replace Original Medicare.

    • Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans work with Original Medicare to help cover deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. You’ll also need a separate Part D drug plan if you choose this route.

  • The Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 15 to December 7 each year. During this time, you can:

    • Switch from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage plan

    • Switch from one Medicare Advantage plan to another

    • Add, drop, or change a Part D prescription drug plan
